I had the privilege of doing wedding flowers for a wonderful couple here in Austin. Michele and James were such a joy to work with. Truly the perfect couple. They picked one of my favorite venues in South Austin – Mercury Hall. It is a hidden gem in the city. The beautiful stained glass windows add so much character to the space. The old oak trees filter the light perfectly for ceremonies. Plus the weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony.
For the bouquets we used a delightful array of roses, garden roses, spray roses, dahlias, and tulips. We added a bit of texture in the bridal bouquet with some succulents, pods, and seeded eucalyptus.
We designed the sweetheart table with a silver compote dish with a lush bedding of mixed greenery and layers of roses, dahlias, stock, hypericum, and spray roses. The guest tables were decorated with mason jars filled with safflower, alstromeria, spider mums, and roses.
I decided to custom build an arch for this wedding. I was very pleased with the end result. It was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. The arch was anchored with planters that held green and blooming plants. I hung vintage lace curtains and tied them back with flowers gatherings.
Thanks for taking a look. Enjoy!
